After World War II, a “second model” was created, an updated version of the first model. While maintaining the short length, wide silhouette, front pleats, and other design features of the first model, the back cinch was eliminated, side adjusters were installed, pockets were placed on both sides, and functionality was further enhanced.

Denim Jacket Type 2 (1) “LEVI’S VINTAGE CLOTHING 507

Levi’s Vintage Clothing has reissued Levi’s classic 2nd model “507,” which was only produced from 1952 to 1962. The model we picked up is a reproduction of the early 507, featuring leather patches. The denim is made by Kaihara, a company that boasts a 50% share of the domestic denim market, and the rough denim texture manufactured by Cone Mills at the time has been realistically reproduced using Japan’s advanced technology. Incidentally, all but the earliest models have paper patches instead of leather patches.

Denim Jacket 2nd Type ② “SUGAR CANE

Sugar Cane” is an American casual wear label started by Japanese casual wear brand Toyo Enterprise in 1975. From Sugar Cane, we pick up a denim jacket with a motif of Levi’s 1st type. It follows the characteristic details such as pleats on the front placket and cinch back on the waist. The back features a ” back T ” design with a center separation, originally used for big-size jackets. The inside of the pockets and the back of the flaps are made of an ancient Japanese fabric called sen-suji, which has a fine stripe pattern, and kasuri, a fabric used to make kasuri.
