Introducing Trickers' recommended loafers! Pay attention to the outstanding technology and design that only a long-established company can offer!

Trickers” is a prestigious brand with a particularly long history in the United Kingdom, the mecca of leather shoe manufacturing. In Japan, the brand’s popularity is concentrated especially on country shoes, but its technology is also utilized in the manufacture of loafers. This time, we focus on Trickers’ loafers and introduce recommended models!

The royal warrant brand “[Trickers]” that carries out high-standard shoemaking by a traditional manufacturing method.

Trickers is a long-established shoe manufacturer founded by Joseph Tricker in 1829. For nearly two centuries, five generations have been producing high quality leather shoes. The late Princess Diana loved Tricker’s shoes, and the story of her recommending a pair of Tricker’s room shoes to Prince Charles is very famous. This led to Tricker’s becoming a leather shoe brand with a Royal Warrant (British Royal Warrant). Along with the brand logo, Tricker’s displays the Royal Arms (royal coat of arms) with a design of three eagle feathers.

Tricker’s continues to maintain its long-established tradition of a “bench-made” manufacturing method. Originally, shoe manufacturing was generally done by dividing up the workforce according to the process. In the case of bench-made shoes, however, a single skilled craftsman sits at the same “bench” and creates a single pair of shoes from start to finish. This method of manufacturing, which conveys the passion of the craftsman, is one of the reasons why these shoes have been loved by customers worldwide for many years.

The country-inspired details of Tricker’s loafers are the most noteworthy features of the brand. Wingtips and country boots, which can be worn both dressy and casual, are synonymous with Trickers, and this sense of style is still alive and well in the manufacture of loafers. Many loafers are made using techniques such as the all-around Goodyear welt method and storm welt, which are used to create rugged and functional shoes. Of course, fine calf leather and luxurious suede are used as materials. The upper design with a sense of balance, such as a narrow silhouette and a saddle that is less assertive, is also a must-see item.
