Adidas “NMD” Attraction #1: “Prime knit upper for an overwhelmingly comfortable fit.”

One of the features of the NMD is that the upper is made of knit material. The NMD’s unique knit material, named “Primeknit,” provides a strong fit when the foot is placed in the shoe. Adidas NMD Attraction #2: “Boost Foam,” a next-generation midsole that combines shock absorption and resilience.

The midsole of the NMD uses a cushioning material developed by Adidas called ” Boost (BOOST) Foam. Boost foam has a structure that looks like small granular plastics compressed tightly together, and is characterized by its shock absorption and resilience. Compared to EVA, the polymer sponge material currently used in many sneakers, Boost Foam offers superior cushioning and also solves the durability problem, a weak point of EVA, which tends to change due to outside temperatures. In addition, Boost Foam is surprisingly flexible, lightweight, and easy to walk on. As a cutting-edge midsole material, it is actively used in sneakers other than NMD.
