What is “The Ten” by Nike x Off-White?
The Ten” is a collaboration project between Off-white, led by Virgil Abloh, one of the hottest designers of the moment, and NIKE, a world-famous sports brand. As the name suggests, the project is based on ten pairs of footwear and is being produced under two themes, “REVEALING” and “GHOSTING”. The “REVEALING” theme, which means “to reveal what has been hidden,” dissects the designs of five different models. A cutter knife was used to expose the foam inside the shoe tongue, and the position and size of the Swoosh was changed. The “GHOSTING” takes the REVEALING concept even further, with a translucent upper and a series of silhouettes that share a commonality.
