American casual fashion is the ironclad style for men that is not influenced by trends. Based on military, work, and country styles, the rugged and rough American casual style has been loved throughout the ages as a coordinate that brings out the best of a wild man’s charm. American casual” can be defined as a variety of styles, ranging from surf style, which was born from the clothing favored by West Coast surfers, to surplus style, which was worn with clothing disposed of by the military, to college style, which is unique to college students. Today, American casual is often used as a generic term for the styles listed above. In some cases, the term “American casual” is used for casual wear and “American dress” is used for dress wear.

In Japan, American casual wear became very popular among a group of students at a famous private high school in the Shibuya area, giving birth to a style known as ” Shibu-Kaje.

In recent years, this “American casual” boom seems to be slowly making a comeback around the world.
