'Neptunian Grande Reserve' Japan Limited EditionThe serene all-black design reveals only the time
This Japan limited edition model has a black PVD-coated stainless steel case and bezel, The bezel, dial, and strap are all black. This black is not merely a coloring aspect of all-black, but is also intended to suppress unnecessary light and information, and to lead the eye to the necessary elements. By reducing the assertiveness of the exterior, the hands and indices on the dial help the eye to recognize them, creating a state in which only the time naturally emerges.
Specifications to enhance awareness of timeIn addition to the non-date dial, the minute indexes and logos have been omitted for extreme refinement
Like the all-black exterior, the dial has been designed to reduce information. The date display has been eliminated, and the minute indexes and “NEPTUNIAN” have also been omitted, eliminating elements that are not necessary for reading the time. In addition, the polished silver indexes delicately reflect the light, forming a gentle contrast within the black dial. They are not overly assertive, but only reveal their outlines at the necessary moments. While most divers’ watches focus on instant legibility underwater and ensure legibility through strong color schemes and clear contrasts, this work adopts a ” quiet legibility ” approach in low light conditions. As a result, only the hands and indices are clearly recognizable, allowing the eye to keep track of the time without getting lost. By leaving slight textural differences and contours in black, the watch achieves quiet legibility for reading the time.
Bearing the name of Neptune, god of the sea A true diver's watch.Equipped with a high level of functionality and safety as well as design
The robust case construction and screw-in crown ensure water resistance to 30 bar/300 m. The case back also shows the name of the model. The case back is engraved with a relief of Neptune, the god of the sea, which is also the origin of the model name, embodying the brand concept of “THE WATER CHAMPION”. The bezel is made of high-tech ceramic inserts, realizing high resistance to scratches and corrosion. The side surfaces of the watch are finely textured to enhance operability, and a unidirectional rotation prevention mechanism is provided for practical safety.
The internal mechanism is an automatic movement (Cal. 808) with a long power reserve of approximately 68 hours. The unidirectional winding system ensures efficient winding and maintains stable drive even in daily use. This highly practical specification ensures that the watch will not stop even if it is not worn for several days, such as on weekends.
Two types of straps are included for different uses
The strap comes standard in a rubber type designed for underwater use. The strap is water-resistant and durable, and fits flexibly around the wrist, ensuring practicality as a diver’s watch. The watch also comes with a strap made of high-strength ballistic nylon, which is also used in bulletproof vests. This strap is made as thin as possible to accentuate the silhouette of the watch without compromising the form of the case. The metal parts of both straps are finished in matte black to achieve both a minimalist view of the world and practicality.
