Launched in 2016, CURV is a collection that rethinks what a watch should be based on ergonomics and creates a new common sense by incorporating the world’s first curved chronograph movement in a thin case. Since its introduction 10 years ago, the collection has been a success with its high quality chronograph movements. Evolution of the 10th anniversary modelThe case diameter was changed from 44mm to 41mm to match the trend! The first strap exchange system is also adopted.
The new 10th anniversary model inherits the aesthetic and bold design of the Curves collection, while further enhancing its sophistication. The case has been redesigned to a diameter of 41mm in line with the small-diameter trend. While smaller than the previous 44mm case, it has a more streamlined silhouette without sacrificing its overwhelming presence. The visual depth is also an unchanged attraction of this work. The dial is semi-skeletonized, allowing the movement to be seen through, and the curved movement can be seen through the see-through case back.
Another key feature of the Curves collection is the use of an interchangeable strap system, a first for the Curves collection. The “96K117” model, which comes with a strap, allows the wearer to easily change from the one-piece stainless steel bracelet to a tough black rubber strap by pressing and releasing a push button on the back side. The included rubber strap is made of a supple, skin-friendly material. The lugs are designed to fit the curved case perfectly for a comfortable fit. The watch can be styled to suit any occasion, from formal occasions to active weekends.
The movement is equipped with Bulova’s original high precision quartz movement. The High Precision Quartz movement is a unique quartz movement that inherits two of Bulova’s identities: “unparalleled precision with a high frequency of 262 kHz” and “two-step sweep hands. 262 kHz oscillation enables a precision of ±5 seconds per month. Quartz” means crystal, and Bulova’s quartz movement uses a quartz crystal with a unique shape and vibration system.
