This time Audemars Piguet has announced two new watches, the “CODE 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar” and the “Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. The new caliber 7138 in each model is a newly developed movement based on a technical and design review of the perpetual calendar, which mechanically reproduces the movement of the celestial bodies. The new movement was developed over a period of five years and holds a total of five patents, including three newly acquired. The “all-in-one” crown, which allows the user to adjust the time, date, moon phase, and all other functions using only the crown, was introduced for the first time, allowing the user to operate the watch intuitively without the use of tools. This is an innovative finish that opens up new possibilities for a complication watch suited to modern lifestyles.

This Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is a contemporary monochrome design featuring unique light effects. The case and bracelet are made of 18K sand gold, an alloy combining gold, copper, and palladium, first used in the ” Royal Oak ” collection in 2024. Its color is somewhere between white and pink gold, and its color nuances change depending on the light, giving the watch a warm impression as a whole. The color change is further accentuated by the manufacture’s trademark satin-finish and polished beveling on the bracelet and case. The dial is then decorated with a grand tapestry pattern in galvanized sanded gold. The luminescent 18K white gold hands and hour markers give the dial an elegant appearance, and the black calendar display on the subdials and inner bezel provide an exquisite contrast.

Anniversary limited edition watches with special logo

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Audemars Piguet’s founding, each of the three new collections will be released in a limited edition of 150 pieces, each with a special logo. The limited edition models incorporate a subtle design code specially conceived for the anniversary: the moon phase at 6 o’clock is engraved with a vintage-style ” Audemars Piguet ” logo inspired by historical documents. Two engravings, ” 150 ” and ” 1 of 150 pieces ” designed for the 150th anniversary of the company, are placed on the frame of the sapphire caseback.
