Ayumu Nakajima Talks About His Relationship with Clothing and His Approach to StyleEnjoying How Your Mood Changes Depending on the Clothes You Wear and Your Environment

In an interview, when asked, “As you’ve grown older and gained more experience, how have your approach to clothing and your philosophy on personal style changed?” Ayumu Nakajima replied, “I transitioned from modeling to acting, and I still do modeling work to this day. As a result, whether it’s for a role or my personal wardrobe, I have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of clothes, which I find enjoyable.I come across many items I wouldn’t normally choose for myself. My mood changes depending on the clothes, and it also shifts based on the setting or location where I’m wearing them, so I enjoy each moment as it comes.Because of the nature of my work, as soon as I arrive on set, I’m usually asked to take off my street clothes (laughs) and change into that day’s costume. In that sense, a tracksuit is all I really need for my streetwear, but since I rarely have the chance to dress up in my personal life, lately I’ve been putting on a nice shirt and wearing slacks.Clothes really lift my spirits for the day. Now that I’m this age, I’ve come to realize that there are some clothes I eventually get tired of. There was a time when I stayed away from jeans for a while, but I’ve since gone back to wearing them again,” he replied.
