Each model in the new “70s” collection features a dial with an intricate “hexagrid” structure, creating rich light reflections and visual depth.The finish applied to the obelisk-shaped hour and minute hands, as well as the refined second hand, creates an exceptionally sharp and three-dimensional impression. The date window at the 3 o’clock position further enhances its appeal.
This new collection also offers the joy of touch as well as sight. Its contours feature curves that invite you to trace them with your fingertips, and thanks to the ergonomic design with integrated lugs, the watch fits snugly on the wrist.The softly rounded edges of the square stainless steel case feature a combination of meticulous satin and polished finishes.While evoking a connection to other models in the Seventies series, its size is significantly more compact. The 70s measures 39 × 39 mm and is just 9.6 mm thick. The screw-down crown and water resistance of 10 atm (100 m) highlight the sporty character of this new line.

The traditional 3/4 plate—synonymous with Glashütte watchmaking—features a ribbed finish, while the balance cock is adorned with exquisite hand engraving, and the gear train is adorned with beautiful decorations.Every component is meticulously finished down to the finest detail: the edges of the minute parts are chamfered and polished, the steel parts are polished, and the screws feature a blue steel finish.The rotor is crafted from 21K gold and features the skeletonized double “G” logo—a symbol of Glashütte Original—elegantly and sophisticatedly expressing the timeless appeal of mechanical watches.
Common Feature 4 of the New ‘70s’ CollectionRubber Straps with the ‘Glue-Block System’ for Smart Attachment and Replacement
The ‘70s collection is available with either a metal bracelet or a leather-lined rubber strap, allowing wearers to enjoy a superior fit along with distinct styles.Furthermore, both straps incorporate an innovative system that offers outstanding functionality. The GlueBlock System—patented by Glashütte Original and introduced for the first time in the 70s collection—consists of an innovative case attachment mechanism and a specially designed buckle, both of which can be replaced without tools.This system allows you to change the strap at any time to suit your mood. The locking mechanism—comprising a lever, pin, and groove—ensures excellent stability and a comfortable fit.
To attach the strap to the case, simply push the strap’s connector onto the lug from above; it will automatically snap into a small groove on the case. To remove it, pull the lever located on the underside of the connector. Additionally, the connector can be swapped out for various rubber straps simply by pushing the bar to one side.For safety reasons, this operation can only be performed when the strap is removed from the watch. Once the connector is secured to the case, the pin is pushed into the groove on the bar, locking it into place. For metal bracelets, the connector is already integrated, allowing for easy attachment and removal with a simple click.
The rubber strap is designed so that the folding clasp can be removed, allowing it to be combined with straps of different colors. The clasp can be unlocked using a push button embedded on the inside of the clasp. Once unlocked, the clasp can be opened along two telescoping rods.When closing, the push button snaps back into the groove on the rod thanks to spring tension. The metal bracelet is equipped with a double folding clasp featuring a size adjustment system, allowing the length to be adjusted by up to 3 mm in either direction.
