As the saying goes, “If you want to give yourself a makeover, start with your hair. That is why it is a man’s true desire to have a hairstyle that will make women like him as much as possible. However, many of them are probably wondering what kind of hairstyle they should get from the vast number of choices available. To find out, we conducted a survey on “favorite hairstyles” mainly among women in their 20s. The results, along with real comments from women, are now available!

Survey of 100 women in their 20s and 30s! They were asked to choose their favorites from 10 popular hairstyles.
For this survey, we interviewed 100 women in their 20s to early 30s. We visited central Tokyo areas such as Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, Marunouchi, Roppongi, and Shinagawa, and asked them to answer the questionnaire on the street. The project also picked up 10 hairstyles that were popular in the hairstyling articles published on OTOKOMAE. The results were illustrated so as not to be influenced by the face, and the real feelings of the women were sought as to “which hairstyle they like and which they think looks subjectively good-looking.
First, we present the results of our survey of 100 women!
Here are the results of the survey conducted this time: more than one-third of the women chose “center parting,” followed by “comma hair,” clearly showing that the fashionable hair style popular in Korea has gained high popularity in Japan as well. On the other hand, however, “mash,” which has been popular since around 2010 due to the Korean idol boom and is now a staple of men’s hair, surprisingly came in 6th place. Soft Mohawk and short two-block hairstyles also did not receive any votes, indicating that hairstyles that have become a staple in men’s fashion were not well received in this survey. Some women said they could not answer the question because they did not see it in the list, and they listed “stylish bows” and “pompadour” as their favorite hairstyles. They were listed in the “others” category.
This survey brings to light some important things about men’s hair!
The most important thing that emerged from the survey was that “the most important thing is that it looks good on you. The majority of women were unanimous in saying this, and some women even commented harshly, “Even if a hairstyle is popular in general, if it doesn’t suit you, it’s still a minus point!
