The Edwin 505 was introduced in 1994 during the vintage denim boom of the 1990s. The 505, which made its reappearance just before its 30th anniversary, has been updated with details and wash processing reminiscent of vintage jeans and the texture of the time, using modern technology and concepts. In today’s age of stretch denim, the 505 proposes the value of hard-core jeans.

The lineup consists of three styles: wide straight, loose straight, and regular straight, inspired by the silhouettes of the 1940s to 1960s. The fits, details, and USED finishes are reproduced to give a sense of the history of jeans from the days when they were still workwear to their transformation into fashion. The jackets are also inspired by the 50’s and 60’s, just like the jeans concept.
505Z WIDE
A wide, straight, rugged design reminiscent of the 40’s, a time when jeans were workwear. The fabric and processed color reproduce the realistic USED look as if they were actually worn as workwear. We recommend wearing them rolled up thick like real workers of the time.

505ZX LOOSE
The 50’s style is characterized by a relaxed silhouette with no quirks, and a slightly slimmer fit than in the 40’s. The processing color is more crisp and the beards and beehives are realistically reproduced.

505ZXX REGULAR
Reproduction of vintage jeans from the 60’s, when jeans evolved from workwear to fashion. They feature a gently tapered regular fit and a beautiful silhouette reminiscent of the era when jeans were worn in everyday life.

505 DENIM JACKET ʻ50s
Denim jacket with front pleats and boxy silhouette inspired by the details of the 2nd type in the 50s. It is made of the same 13.75-ounce Japanese selvedge denim as jeans.
