Lee ARCHIVES reissues WW II model jeans and denim jackets!

Lee ARCHIVES, a project to revive Lee’s legendary products in the modern age, has introduced the WWII COWBOY PANTS and COWBOY JACKET, which are now available at Lee’s official online store and Lee stores.

Lee ARCHIVES, which recreates legendary models, reissues items that appeared during World War II!

Lee ARCHIVES faithfully reissues the masterpieces produced by Lee over the past 100 years and reproduces them in a quality comparable to the originals. This time, the “COWBOY PANTS” and “COWBOY JACKET” are reissued with details changed due to the simplification of materials and metals for clothing due to material control during the World War II. These models faithfully reproduce the features seen only during this period, such as the use of inexpensive ready-made parts and the omission of original details.

WWII 101 COWBOY PANTS” with all details simplified due to the control of supplies

The WWII 101 COWBOY PANTS appeared after the production of the zipper type 101-Z was halted due to the large number of zippers needed for military use. The top button is a general-purpose laurel button, and the fly button is an unmarked button. Due to the control of supplies, the rivets on the coin pockets and the stitching and reinforcing fabric on the back pockets were omitted. The copper and brass rivets originally used on the front pockets and crotch were replaced by steel, colorless, Lee-engraved “UFO rivets”.

WWII 101J COWBOY JACKET” with the atmosphere of rugged workwear

The COWBOY JACKET, which was born in the 1930s, underwent various detail changes due to the disasters of World War II and material controls. Buttons were changed from the COWBOY engraving to general-purpose laurel buttons, and the triple stitching that flaunted the workwear style was changed to double stitching. The flaps of the breast pockets were rounded to reduce the sewing process. Buckle backs were eliminated, leaving only rivets and pleats. Today , Lee is known for its left-hand twill denim, but this model is also notable for its right-hand twill, which was used until 1944.
