adidas Celebrates 20 Years of Collaboration with BAPE with the First of the Anniversary Collection, ” CAMPUS 80s BAPE®︎

adidas Originals and A BATHING APE®, which has been a major influence on street culture, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their partnership. In addition, as A BATHING APE® celebrates its 30th anniversary, a project to celebrate both brands will be developed in a total of five installments throughout the year. The first project is “CAMPUS 80s BAPE®︎,” a reworking of the classic Adidas sneaker.

The first collaboration sneaker in the Celebrate project is the Campus 80s with a bape-inspired twist.

Kicking off the project is the “CAMPUS 80s,” which has been deeply connected to music, art, fashion, and other cultures and has had a major impact on each era. The three stripes and BAPE STA™ are asymmetrically placed on the left and right sides, reimagined in a playful style that is uniquely BAPE. In addition, the heel patch logo and shoe jewel are embellished in gold to highlight the campus’ authentic navy colorway. The original logo on the shoe tongue and the shoe box with original print are special 30th anniversary editions.

Animated video recounting the history of both brands marks the start of the project

The collaboration project, which will run for a total of five installments throughout the year, combines the archives of both brands. The timeless looks will be updated with unexpected updates, including details and graphics unique to Bape, to bring innovation to the signature silhouettes. In addition to Bape’s logo and motifs, the animated video that kicks off the project also recounts key moments that both brands have experienced together over the years.
