adidas Originals is reimagining the brand’s heritage for the next generation with the adidas Energy Collection. The “Superstar 80s TANY” is the sixth sneaker in the “Tokyo Energy” series, which focuses on Tokyo, one of adidas’ key cities, and is a collaboration with fashion director TANY based on the Superstar 80s. The theme of this collaboration is “WALK WITH YOUR DREAMS” EVERYBODY BECOMES A SUPERSTAR! The design of the sneakers is based on the theme “WALK WITH YOUR DREAMS” and expresses the energy of people who live together with their loved ones.
The iconic “Three Stripes” design is specially designed with different colors on the inside and outside.
The brand’s iconic “Three Stripes” was created as three reinforcing bands to protect shoes from external impacts. Inspired by this origin, the design incorporates the message “Man does not live alone (one stripe), but is supported by the energy of those around him (three stripes) in his daily life. The three stripes on the upper are asymmetrical, with the color changing from inside to outside. The three stripes on the inside are designed to resemble the shadows of the people who are important to you inside the purification cloth, while the three stripes on the outside symbolize yourself in the middle, and the three stripes on both sides represent the important people who support you in the world around you. The minimalist silhouette of this pair is impressive, with the leather insole inspired by the heart of a beautiful and gentle person, and the logo on the heel patch design daringly eliminated.
