Kashi Oak Finally Powers Up! The new GA-2100, G-Shock’s popular series with added high-tech features, is now available!

The G-SHOCK “2100” series, commonly known as “Kashi Oak” for its stylish octagonal bezel design, is now available in five colors and is the first watch in the “GA-B2100” series to be equipped with a smartphone link and solar charging function. The new model will go on sale on May 14 (Sat.).

G-SHOCK’s GA-2100 Series Equipped with Bluetooth® and Tough Solar! What kind of design is the evolved Kashi Oak?

The “GA-2100,” a modern interpretation of the first-generation G-Shock “DW-5000C,” popularly known as the “Kashi Oak,” gained worldwide popularity for its simple design when it was launched in 2019. Based on the GA-2100, the new GA-2100 is now equipped with Bluetooth® and solar recharging for enhanced convenience; Bluetooth® automatically displays the exact time when linked using the dedicated “CASIO WATCHES” app on a smartphone, while the GA-2100 is also equipped with Casio’s own solar recharging system, the “TACHIOKU” solar power system. Casio’s unique “Tough Solar” solar recharging system is powered by even the slightest light, such as fluorescent light, eliminating the need for regular battery replacement. In addition, the series maintains its characteristic compact face by adopting a thin module. The “Carbon Core Guard Structure,” which uses high-strength carbon fiber-reinforced resin as the case material, ensures shock resistance while achieving the same size as the “GA-2100. In terms of design, the two-piece dial structure emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the LCD and inner dial. The metallic finish of the inner dial ring gives the watch a higher quality feel.

Two color schemes, black and all-black, inherit the color scheme of the first-generation “5600” series “DW-5600C-1V,” and reproduce the color scheme of the “DW-5600C-9BV,” “DW-5600B-3V,” and “DW-5600B-2V,” the first G-SHOCK color models released in the past. The lineup includes three colors: yellow, green, and blue.
