G-SHOCK has announced a special-order model for the classic game ”MOTHER,” which will go on sale by lottery at the Almost MOTHER Project web store from 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

‘ “MOTHER” Collaboration is Based on a Leading G-Shock Model Released in 2012
The “Almost a day MOTHER Project,” which creates various contents and products related to “MOTHER ” *, consulted with CASIO and chose the “GW-M5610U,” released in 2012, as the basis for the special order. The design follows the square face of the first G-SHOCK model (a.k.a. Speed Model), which can be considered the origin of G-SHOCK. The module features “Multi Band 6,” which receives and automatically corrects the time according to the standard radio waves of six stations around the world, and “Tough Solar,” which converts light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into motive power.
*Role-playing game planned by Shigesato Itoi, who wrote the scenario and produced the entire game.

Styles with the essence of ‘ MOTHER
The “MOTHER” special-order G-SHOCK model released this time retains the excellent functions of the “GW-M5610U” and features the “MOTHER” logo and “SMAAAAASH! dot letters on the dial. The coloring is gold and blue, the same as the original logo.

The back of the watch is engraved with the earth symbol, which has always been used as the logo of the ‘ MOTHER’ series. This mark is also used as a symbol in the “Almost MOTHER” project.

Samples of this work are on display at “Dosei-san no Omise” at “Almost Sunday” on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO from December 21, 2021 to January 16, 2022, and at TOBICHI (Tokyo and Kyoto) from December 21, 2021 to January 26, 2022, in the stores. Visitors can check out the special G-SHOCK before its release. In addition, a special movie featuring nostalgic music from the ‘ MOTHER’ game is also being released to coincide with the release of this collaborative model.
