Casio’s first customization service “MY G-SHOCK” has started! Up to 600 million combinations and more!
Since the release of the first G-SHOCK model ” DW-5000C” in 1983, G-SHOCK has achieved a cumulative worldwide shipment of 130 million pieces, thanks to the support of many fans. The brand’s first customization service, “MY G-SHOCK,” was launched to provide a personalized user experience and to co-create a new G-SHOCK with customers. Based on the “DWE-5610,” which features a square design and a carbon core guard structure, this new service allows users to choose the color of the bezel, band, face, ring, and other parts to create a model of their own liking.
The bezel, band, and ring are available in more than 19 variations, including limited colors at the time of service launch, and can be selected from approximately 1.9 million possible combinations. In addition, by selecting the triple ring consisting of three loops, approximately 658 million possible combinations can be realized. Not only can one create one’s own personalized G-Shock to match the season, fashion, and scene of wear, but it also makes an ideal gift for each individual’s style. In addition, as a new attempt to communicate with users, customized designs recommended by Casio designers are also available. In addition to variations on standard parts, Casio plans to develop special seasonal themes such as limited edition colors, as well as customization in collaboration with tie-up partners.
Limited Edition “FIRST COLOR
The first customization models under the special “COLOR” theme are the DW-5600C-9BV (released overseas in 1987), DW-5600B-3V (released overseas in 1991), and DW-5600B-2V (released overseas in 1991), which were the first G-Shock models to be available in color. FIRST COLOR” reproducing the yellow, green and blue colors of the DW-5600B-2V (released overseas in 1991) will be released in a limited quantity of 500 pieces each at the same time the service is launched.
The packaging includes a special edition box that can also be enjoyed as a paper craft.
