Reebok will release “Dot Pattern” and “Composition Pack” based on its signature model “CLUB C 85” on March 18 (Fri.) as the second collaboration with the interior design firm EAMES OFFICE. The Eames Office is a leading company in the field of 20th century product design.

The Eames Office is a historic interior design firm founded in Los Angeles by the Eameses, who were among the most influential product designers of the 20th century. This will be the second collaboration with Reebok, following the ” Club C Monotone Pack ” released last year. This time, too, the pack is based on Reebok’s iconic Club C 85, and draws inspiration from the textiles and iconic pieces that the Eameses loved. The Eames Office philosophy of “continuous improvement and innovation” has been incorporated into the new design with improved materials and a modern look. The same sized shoe tag, logo window box on the side, and die-cut tooling as the original model are in keeping with the traditional design of the classic model. Furthermore, just like the original, the bandage built into the arch provides enhanced fit and comfort. The result is a model that is unique to the collaboration, reproducing the classic design of the time while fusing the originality of the Eames office.
The “Composition” model of this collaboration is based on the painting of the same title by Ray Eames in 1939. The subtle, natural tones of the work are incorporated into the upper and blended with a crisp white midsole. Ray’s signature on the side makes this an especially coveted item for fans.
The “dot pattern,” a signature pattern of the Eames office, was conceived in 1947 for a competition sponsored by MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York). This bold graphic, created through the collaborative efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Eames, is used on the natural upper of the Club Sea 85.
The packaging for the collaborative model was designed and inspired by the real-life “Eames House (Case Study House #8)” in Los Angeles. The Eames House, known as a masterpiece of postwar modernism, was also the residence and studio of the Eameses. It is the crystallization of the couple’s design philosophy and is attracting worldwide attention as a model of modern sustainable architecture.
