For the fall/winter 2021 season, Reebok will be rolling out a variety of models based on the concept of “retro running” from the 1970s and 1980s. The CL LEGACY AZ is the successor to the CL LEGACY released in the Spring/Summer 2021 season, and embodies Reebok’s concept of sustainability, with over 30% of the CL LEGACY’s upper made from recycled materials. It features a combination of AZTEC (AZTEC) and CL LTHR (Classic Leather) to create an iconic and retro look. While following the basic silhouette of the CL LEGACY, the new “CL LEGACY AZ” is a modern evolution of the AZTEC II running shoe that was used by many serious runners in 1983. As old Reebok fans may have noticed, the coloring of the “CL LEGACY AZ” follows that of the “AZTEC II,” which was released in 1983. (*The image is an archive of the AZTEC II)
In addition to this color scheme, the brand’s familiar vector logo and upper design have been retained to create an iconic look. Furthermore, in order to differentiate it from the previous ” CL LEGACY,” the new model features a diagonally shaped heel kick from the outsole to the midsole and a TPU heel cup on the side of the body. The “CL LEGACY AZ” is a condensed version of the previous heritage models while being made into a modern face, and Reebok fans will be able to’t help but reach for it.
