Reebok has collaborated with VINL ARCHIVE for the third time in four years. The “CLUB C 85 GTX” tennis shoes, representing the brand’s classic line, will be released on Friday, February 25.

Reebok and Vinyl Archive’s first collaborative shoe has been updated with Gore-Tex for comfort!
VINAL ARCHIVE is a Tokyo-based fashion brand started by designer Kohei Ohkita in 2009 with the concept of “something that is unlikely to exist” as its starting point. The brand’s particular designs and mixed styles are favored by fashionistas in Japan and abroad. Collaboration shoes with Reebok garnered attention in 2018 with the release of the “CLUB C 85” and “DAYTONA DMX”; in 2020, Ohkita will design Reebok’s special collection “Reebok eightyone,” a four-season apparel and footwear collections. This third collaboration shoe is a new model based on the first “CLUB C 85” with updated details and functionality.

The first collaboration shoe, with its simple design, combination of different materials, and Ohkita’s special attention to detailing, drew attention and created a buzz. This time, the all-black suede, nylon, and leather upper is retained, while the GORE-TEX lining material is used for comfort. The special “GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™” product technology provides warmth and heat retention. The product technology “GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™” keeps the inside of the shoe comfortable regardless of the season, while keeping the heat in. In terms of design, the letters “VAINL” and “ARCHIVE” are placed on the heel of each shoe. The “deer antler” motif that appeared on the side of the first version is now embroidered on the back of the shoe’s tongue label. Like the first model, the design is minimalist, but the attention to detail can be felt in this pair.
