To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the world’s first automatic chronograph movement, the Calibre 11, Hamilton has released the ” Chronomatic 50. The new timepiece equipped with the famous machine that has etched its name in the history of watchmaking is scheduled for release in December 2019.

The ” Calibre 11 ” was created in 1969 as the world’s first self-winding chronograph movement, a major milestone in the history of watchmaking. This innovative powerhouse was jointly developed by Hamilton, TAG Heuer, Breitling, and Dubois Dépraz. In 2019, the 50th anniversary of the Calibre 11, Hamilton will launch the Chronomatic 50, an H-31 automatic chronograph movement that extends the standard duration to 60 hours. The amazing endurance of the watch, which will continue to run without stopping on Monday morning even after a weekend watch change, makes it a perfect companion for many years to come. The watch also features a convenient quick-change date function, allowing the wearer to put it on and go right away, even on busy mornings.
