There are two main types of suitcases: hard and soft. The basic rule is that the harder the case, the stronger it is, the heavier it is, and the lighter it is, the less durable it is. Therefore, the balance between lightness and durability is important when selecting a suitcase. Typical materials for hard types include aluminum, polycarbonate, and ABS resin. Polycarbonate and ABS resin are characterized not only by their excellent durability and water resistance, but also by their lightness.
On the other hand, soft types are mainly made of cloth materials such as nylon and polyester. Although they are inferior to hard types in terms of water resistance and security, they have many advantages such as light weight and flexibility.
