What is office casual, which tends to have a rough image?

Office casual” refers to a style that basically assumes that you stay in the office and do not meet with people outside the company. Since you are not meeting with clients, you are only in contact with people inside the company, so in many cases it is acceptable to dress in a relatively casual manner.

Examples of office casual royalty include no-tie jacket styles, cardigans and shirts, and, depending on the season, shirt-one styles or polo shirts-only. There is a wide range of acceptable bottoms other than slacks, and if you are wearing a jacket, you can also wear clean jeans, or use a white shirt and chinos to create a beautiful style. For example, if you wear only a cut-and-sewn top such as a T-shirt, it is too rough, so it is recommended to coordinate it with a jacket style by using it as an inner layer to keep a good balance.

What is business casual? How does it differ from office casual?

Business casual is often equated with office casual. Although they are in similar categories, as mentioned above, office casual is for internal use, while business casual refers to the style that should be adopted when visiting clients and other outside parties or when having visitors to the company.

For business casual, it is better to wear a jacket, considering that you will be meeting with clients. Other items depend on the occasion, but collared items such as shirts and polo shirts are king, even if you are not wearing a shirt. As for bottoms, jeans give too strong a casual image, so slacks are a safe bet. Basically, a tied-up jacket style will be the cheapest.

A similar word for this style is ” smart casual!

Smart Casual is a term used in a similar way to Office Casual and Business Casual. Unlike office casual and business casual, this is not a term used in business situations, but rather to describe a dress code for formal occasions.

Mr. Miyazaki
The basic style of smart casual is jackets. While there are different types of dress codes such as formal, semi-formal, and informal, smart casual is positioned as the most casual attire. If you are wearing a tailored jacket or a suit, you can wear a clean T-shirt or a knit sweater such as a turtleneck as an inner layer; if you are concerned that these may be too casual, you can wear a shirt with a cutaway collar that looks good even when you are not wearing a shirt, or a shirt with a collar such as a polo shirt. If you are worried that they may be too casual, you can use collared innerwear such as cutaway shirts or polo shirts, which look good without a tie. For bottoms, of course, slacks, but simple, clean jeans without any damage are also acceptable. Casual leather shoes such as loafers are recommended. If you are going to a party or a restaurant and there is a sign that says “please come in casual attire,” it is a good idea to coordinate in a smart casual style.
