What Is the “MOON AMBLE” That Delivers Three ‘WOW’ Moments?A New Flagship Model Developed Based on the Appeal Felt the Moment You Hold It, Put It On, and Start Walking
The MOON AMBLE, now on sale, was conceived as “shoes that make you want to walk more” and was planned and developed through extensive testing at the ASICS Sports Engineering Laboratory.During development, the appeal felt the moment you hold it, the moment you put it on, and the moment you walk in it was expressed as three “WOW” moments and pursued as the core value criteria for the project. The midsole (the cushioning layer between the upper and the outsole) features a two-layer structure incorporating ASICS’ proprietary cushioning foam materials of varying hardness.
Additionally, “HOP FOAM,” a new material with excellent cushioning properties, is arranged in the upper and lower layers with varying degrees of firmness. This provides springy cushioning while suppressing the heel from rolling inward or outward upon landing, thereby supporting a stable gait.In the forefoot area, the “WALK POD SYSTEM” is positioned to follow the trajectory of the body’s center of gravity during walking. By placing lower-density (softer) “HOP FOAM” so that it protrudes beyond the surrounding area, it creates a springy sensation and supports a comfortable gait that naturally encourages forward movement.In addition, the T-shaped rubber design in the forefoot enhances stability during the push-off phase. Furthermore, the curved toe box design supports forward propulsion.
