OMEGA Releases Gold and Rare Metal Seamaster Diver 300M in Limited Quantities

The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018 and underwent a renewal, is now available in a rare metal version. This special model uses titanium tantalum as its main material and will be sold in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces worldwide.

The first Seamaster Diver 300M, released in 1993, used a unique metal called tantalum. Tantalum, a material used in electrical appliances and medical equipment, has a shiny blue-gray color. It is rarer than gold, harder than steel, and more resistant to corrosion. One of the reasons the Seamaster Diver 300M was so popular at the time of its launch was the perfect match between its innovative design and tantalum. This limited edition model once again features that same tantalum.

The body is luxuriously crafted from rare metals and 18K Sedna gold.

The 42mm case and bracelet are made of brushed grade 2 titanium. Blue-gray tantalum is used for the base of the bezel and the middle links of the bracelet, creating a beautiful contrast.

The bold use of 18k Sedna gold is also an attractive feature of this model. It is placed throughout the crown, bezel ring, helium escape valve, bracelet links, indexes and hands. In addition, the case side is adorned with an 18K Sedna gold plate engraved with the serial number. The gray titanium dial with a wave pattern is also notable as a symbolic design of the first model. The waves are laser-engraved in a raised pattern, which is pleasing to the wearer’s eye.

The sapphire-glass caseback allows the wearer to see the Master Chronometer caliber 8806, a movement that is both accurate and beautiful. The see-through caseback features the iconic Seamaster Seahorse design. The Seahorse and the engraved lettering are secured in the correct position by OMEGA’s unique Niard Lock system.

The special box prepared only for this model enhances the special mood.

The box that holds the watch is also specially designed. The box is also specially designed with a motif of the caseback design of this model, and the Seahorse is also depicted on the lid. It is a rare gem that also has value as an interior decoration.
