OMEGA Launches Modern Denim-Inspired “Railmaster Master Chronometer ” Model

OMEGA has introduced a special edition “Railmaster” with a blue denim-inspired dial and strap that has a vintage look and feel reminiscent of the 1950s.

OMEGA’s Railmaster was introduced in 1957. With its sophisticated design and strong anti-magnetic performance, it was a timepiece that perfectly fit into the lives of the working class at the time. This new model pays homage to the first model and is inspired by the denim that was a favorite at the time. Today, denim jeans are a familiar fashion item, but in the past they were work clothes produced for workers in the American West. Coal miners, factory workers, farmers, and railroad workers wore denim jeans every day. The Railmaster is a model that best matches the denim and overalls they wore every day.

The new Railmaster inherits the iconic brushed dials of the modern Railmaster, but with a bright “blue jeans” dial that is reminiscent of denim. The indices, hour and minute hands are coated with railway track and light gray Super-LumiNova for a vintage look. The beige coloring of the lollipop seconds hand and the word “Railmaster” on the dial is reminiscent of denim stitching, giving the watch a unique and modern finish. The real blue denim NATO strap model is accented with brown leather on its backside and keeper. A stainless steel bracelet model is also available, suitable for business occasions.

While retaining the design of the original Railmaster, the movement is equipped with OMEGA’s state-of-the-art Master Chronometer caliber 8806, which boasts a 55-hour power reserve, water resistance to 150 meters, and resistance to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss, 15 times greater than that of the original Railmaster. The watch also features modern technology and details such as a brushed, symmetrical 40mm-diameter stainless steel case, a conical crown, and a naiad-lock caseback that allows the engraved lettering to be held in a fixed position.
