Seiko Watch 110th Anniversary Limited Edition “Enameled Dial

The enamel dial model, which can be said to be the beginning of Seiko wristwatches. The enamel used for the dial of Seiko’s first domestic wristwatch “Laurel” maintains its warm white color, fresh luster, and beauty that never fades. Enamel, which excels in durability, is made by applying a glaze with very few impurities to a dial made of iron-based material and firing it at high temperature. Enameled dials require high skills that supported the dawn of the Japanese wristwatch industry, such as adjusting the ratio of each component of the glaze according to the temperature and humidity. With the technical tradition from the predecessors and the insatiable inquisitiveness and careful handwork of the enamel craftsman Mitsuru Yokozawa, the glossy luster and unfading beauty that can only be expressed by enamel dials are being sent out to the world.
