Seiko Presage, a company that transmits Japanese aesthetics to the world, has announced a new series, ” Style60’s.” The new series will be available from June 10, 2021. This series, which offers the depth of a mechanical wristwatch, recreates the timeless vintage style of Seiko’s 1960’s watches. A total of six models with a wide variety of design variations will be available.

This series is based on the design of the “Crown Chronograph” released in 1964 and expresses a vintage look.
This series is designed based on the ” Crown Chronograph ” released in 1964, which was the first chronograph produced in Japan and was equipped with several new functions that were revolutionary at the time. This model is loved by many fans for its retro-style box-shaped glass, highly legible dial with a wide viewing angle, and solid bezel decorated with Arabic numerals.
This series uses a characteristic box-shaped glass to create a soft impression and a vintage feel of the time. The dial also features three-dimensional indexes and sharply shaped hands inherited from the ” Crown Chronograph ” and a circle of differently finished surfaces around the periphery of the indexes. These details not only improve legibility, but also give the watch a warm appearance that changes its expression depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
The lugs have an additional surface that has been carefully polished to a mirror finish. The combination of a calm appearance and a sharp impression creates a vintage feel, while at the same time being in keeping with modern lifestyles. Furthermore, the rounded case with an inward-sloping shape provides a comfortable fit that holds the watch firmly on the wrist.

Based on the ” Crown Chronograph ” launched in 1964, this series of vintage-inspired watches is available in a total of six different variations. The dial color lineup includes vintage-inspired ivory, basic black, and green dials inspired by the earth colors popular from the 1960s onward. Some models feature faded lumibright paint to enhance the vintage look.
This series also features the first Seiko Presage model with a nylon strap. Nylon strap watches will be available from both the model with an open heart, which features a skeleton structure at the 9 o’clock position on the dial and brings the charm of a mechanical watch closer to the wearer, and the model with a calendar function, which is highly practical.
