What is the “CUSTOM WATCH BEATMAKER” campaign by Seiko 5 Sports?
To commemorate the one-year anniversary of its 2019 relaunch, Seiko 5 Sport will launch the ” CUSTOM WATCH BEATMAKER ” digital campaign from October 2020 to January 2021, fusing wristwatches and music. On the dedicated campaign website, users can create their own original customized model in a simulation by selecting their favorite parts from five categories. At the same time, users from around the world could view images of customized models they had created and vote for their favorite model.
This model was commercialized this time! The unique coloring gives a fresh impression not found in inline models.
Approximately 48,000 customized models were entered in the campaign, and about 16 million votes were cast. Of these, the model that received the most votes, approximately 8.5 million, was chosen to be commercialized as a limited-quantity model this time. The striking gold-toned dial is accented with red and blue bezel coloring, a unique coloring not found on the regular model.
