Skateboarder Yuto Horigome
Born on January 7, 1999, Horime has been ranked in the top ranks of domestic competitions since his early teens. After graduating from high school, he moved to the U.S., where his talent blossomed even more, and in 2017, he not only won the right to challenge the Street League, the world’s top skateboarding competition, but also made the podium again after his first entry. In 2019, he became the first Japanese to win the X-Games in Shanghai, the Street League in Los Angeles, and the runner-up in the World Championships. In 2021, after the season was interrupted by Corona, he won the World Championships for the first time, and then went on to win the gold medal in the skateboarding event at the Tokyo Olympics, the first time the event was held.
