Ed White, the first American astronaut to walk in space, wore an OMEGA Speedmaster ST 105.003 on his wrist in 1965. This famous model was the inspiration for OMEGA’s Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 Stainless Steel, which also features OMEGA’s Calibre 321, a movement known for its beautiful and delicate design. Reflecting the design of the third generation of Ed White’s favorite watch, the latest version features a 39.70 mm stainless steel case. It features a polished black ceramic [ZrO2] bezel ring with a white enamel tachymeter scale. The black step dial is beautifully adorned with the familiar “moon watch” style hands, subdials for small seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers, and a central chronograph hand.
The iconic “dot over 90” and vintage OMEGA logos throughout the design are respectfully recreated in features reminiscent of models of yesteryear.
The beautiful and iconic movement of the calibre 321 is always visible and can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.
