The “M-65” field jacket is a military jacket that, like the MA-1, has become a well-established fashion item, and was officially adopted as a field jacket by the U.S. Army in 1965. The features include “a 50:50 blend of nylon and cotton called NYCO,” “a stand collar with a simple hood,” “Velcro fasteners on the collar and cuffs,” “drawstrings on the waist and hem,” and “large pockets with flaps.
