Denim Shirt Fabric Type 1: “Denim”

Denim is a *twill fabric with colored threads (indigo) in the warp and white threads in the weft. It originated as a campus fabric used for tents and ship sails, and is used for common jeans and trucker jackets. Aging, in which the indigo warp threads fade and the white threads hidden underneath become more noticeable, is one of the characteristics of denim. (*What is twill weave? Twill weave, also known as diagonal weave, has a diagonal weave pattern floating on the surface. Types of Denim Shirt Fabrics (2) “Chambray”

Chambray is a plain weave with colored threads in the warp and white threads in the weft. ( What is plain weave? The simplest weaving method in which the warp and weft yarns alternate in an alternating ups and downs pattern. The pattern is symmetrical, sturdy, strong, and resistant to friction.) The color and texture of denim differ from those of denim because of the different weave. The characteristic feature of plain weave is the crisscrossed weave pattern that can be seen from the surface.

Denim shirt fabric type (3) “Dungaree”

Dungaree is a twill weave in which the warp threads are white (kinari) and the weft threads are colored (indigo). Because the use of warp and weft yarns is opposite to that of denim, the area where white yarns are visible increases compared to denim, giving it a brighter blue look.
