Conversely, fabrics that burn easily include wool, cotton, rayon, and cupra made from natural materials. Fabrics with a fine texture that contains a lot of oxygen and fluff tend to cause a surface flash, a phenomenon in which a fire spreads quickly when ignited by clothing. Be especially careful when camping in winter when the air is dry, as it is not uncommon for people to wear fleece or other firmer clothing. Polyester and nylon materials are less likely to catch fire, but they melt easily and are easily punctured by small sparks from fire.
If you only have a few BBQs a year, you may not want to go out of your way to purchase flame-retardant clothing. For such people, it is recommended to use a fire retardant spray to increase flame retardancy in advance. Since barbeques are prone to grill smells and stains, it is better to choose clothes that are easy-care and do not show stains. Clothing that specifies in the laundry name that it must be dry-cleaned only should not be worn because of the time and effort required to care for it after the BBQ. If there is a possibility of getting wet at a riverside BBQ, it is a good idea to choose clothes that dry quickly.
