By controlling the silhouette of the entire outfit, you can expect to improve your style. The three basic silhouettes are “A-line,” “I-line,” and “Y-line. Just by being aware of the above silhouettes, it is easy to achieve a well-balanced men’s outfit.
A-line: ” Thin top x voluminous pants
The key to the A-line silhouette is to be conscious of a silhouette that extends from the head to the feet. Wide pants and a slim top are also possible, but in seasons other than summer when outerwear is worn, it is more popular to create an A-line with a longer outerwear such as a chester coat or mods coat. A-line is a strong choice if you want to achieve a stable and comfortable look.

I-line: ” Thin top x Thin pants
The key point is to avoid the difference in volume between the upper and lower body while maintaining a certain level of slimness. A silhouette that falls in a straight line is the key to achieving a good balance.
Y-line: ” voluminous top and thin pants
This refers to the combination of a big silhouette or long length shirt/cut & sewn with skinny pants. The eye is drawn upward, and the boundary between the bottom and pants is blurred, which enhances the style. In the winter, the top tends to be voluminous due to the layering of clothing, so simply wearing slim pants will often create a Y-line without much conscious effort.
