Men’s skin needs skincare! Why?

Men’s skin is often thought to be tougher than women’s skin, perhaps because it is thicker. In reality, however, men’s skin is surprisingly delicate, with less than half the moisture content of women’s skin and three times the sebum secretion of women’s skin, making it an environment where bacteria that can cause skin problems can easily multiply. Moreover, shaving irritates the skin, causing more habitual damage to the skin than women. Neglecting skincare can lead to the appearance of age spots, wrinkles, and sagging skin five or ten years later, making you look older than you really are.

What is the role of skin?

The skin’s role is to protect itself from germs, dirt, and ultraviolet rays. The stratum corneum, the top layer of the skin, is lined with scaly cells like tiles that block external stimuli. In addition, various indigenous bacteria live on the surface of the skin, which also play a role in maintaining the skin’s barrier function, but an imbalance of bacteria can lead to skin problems. To prevent this from happening, daily maintenance in the form of skin care is essential.
