YANKO Plain Toe with External Blades

Janco is a Spanish brand launched by Jose Albaladejo in 1961. The company is committed to the consistent in-house production from planning to design and manufacturing, and also produces its own soles and lasts. The brand was one of the first to adopt the Goodyear-welted method, and its plain-toe shoes, which are second to none when it comes to shoemaking in the U.K., are a neat gem with a V-front. The new last 961 is used to create a semi-square toe with a beautiful silhouette and a roomy feel. The “yoke sole,” with rubber on the front half and leather on the back half, is another Janco specialty. It combines the durability and water resistance of a rubber sole with the breathability of a leather sole.

Enzo Bonafe Plain Toe 3644

Enzo Bonafet was founded in 1963. With its workshop in Bologna, the company boasts a high quality and sincere approach to shoemaking, and despite being a small-scale shoe workshop, it is as popular as prestigious brands. The company’s customers include VIPs from all over Europe, and it is also a favorite of former Pope John Paul II. Enzo Bonafet’s outer-blade plain toe is characterized by a neat silhouette that is unmistakably Italian. The upper is made of leather from the prestigious French company Dupuis. The shoes are made using the Goodyear à mano (nine-part tailoring) method, which hardly relies on chance, and the quality is impressive in terms of both appearance and comfort.
