Is there a reason that Converse sneakers with the name "Jackstar" exude individuality?

History reveals why the Converse “Jackstar” was decorated with two lines.

The first “Jackstar,” or Stars & Bars, was the “Smooth Leather All Star,” released the year after the Mexico Olympics, and the first design to feature two lines and a star. The lines were not mere decoration. It was also developed for professional basketball players with many other protective features such as nylon stitching, inside cups, and nylon tricot on the tongue.

However, while the official explanation for the two lines is as above, there are rumors that the design was influenced by the Adidas three stripes that were also popular in the mid-1960s. Therefore, it is possible that after a while, that design disappeared and the design of the main item was shifted to the one-star, leaving only one star.

The solid quality and originality of Converse’s ” Jackstar ” remain unchanged.

Although it was only produced for a short period of five years, the quality of the product was assured. Converse, which had become famous for its canvas shoes, began to focus on leather uppers when it launched this model, so many of these shoes are made of leather or suede, giving them a luxurious feel. Nowadays, the shoes are sometimes revived while keeping the design of those days, and models with smooth leather uppers and suede uppers are being sold with a modern approach.

These Stars & Bars are even treated alongside the One Star on the official Converse website. However, this model, known as the Jackstar, has a different appeal from the familiar Converse standard model, and is ideal for fashionable people who value individuality and originality, as it is less likely to be “worn by others” when worn around town.
