Church’s WILLENHALL”, a tough pair of Church’s shoes with a country shoe-derived sole.

The Willenhall is a pair with an overwhelming presence in both upper and sole. Not only does it have a powerful appearance, but it is also practical enough to be worn off-road if you so desire.

The most distinctive feature of this model is the heel detailing. The presence of the rugged chunky heel makes it hard to believe that this part alone is a coin loafer. The design on the upper is also an important accent.

Pinking on the shoe tongue and a beef-roll half saddle give the loafer a sturdy impression from the front.

The slightly voluminous round toe and worshipful mocca U-shaped moccasin are also notable details. The material used is bookbinder calf, so they can be worn on rainy days without hesitation.

The double sole with two layers of leather provides excellent durability. Unlike general dress shoes, the all-around Goodyear welt method is adopted, with the welt placed 360 degrees around the circumference. Another feature is the storm welt, which is an L-shaped welt for dustproofing and decorative purposes. These are all details found in outdoor-oriented dress shoes, such as country shoes. This model has specifications that set it apart from ordinary coin loafers.
