Mizusawa Down’s Noteworthy Detail (7) “HEAT WELDING,” which cannot be achieved with a sewing machine.
In general, stitches are applied to down in order to balance and secure the feathers, but there was a weak point in that feathers would come out through the holes where the sewing machine had been inserted. Mizusawa Down eliminates this problem by using thermal bonding instead of a sewing machine to eliminate the holes, thereby eliminating waterproofing and down loss. In addition, because there is no need to worry about feathers falling out, even the functional aspects have been adjusted in detail, such as reducing the amount of feathers in the armpits and other movable parts in advance. As a side effect, the improved sealing of the down inside enables high heat retention with less down, and sharp lines and design are achieved while maintaining heat retention.

Mizusawa Down’s Notable Detail (8) “DUAL ZIP VENTILATION” for temperature and humidity control
The two rows of zippers are sometimes used as a design feature to give the appearance of layering, but the “Form Follows Function” concept is still the intended functional aspect of this down. The zipper on the top surface is a waterproof zipper to prevent water from entering. The second zipper is made of mesh material to allow for temperature control when “it is not necessary to open the front, but you want to circulate air due to perspiration. Also, since air can be easily circulated by having an entrance and an exit, the underarms are designed to allow air to circulate by using an opening/closing zipper as well.

Mizusawa Down’s Noteworthy Detail (9): Tight but also equipped with a heater function! MOBILE THERMO SYSTEM”
Models such as the Mobile Thermo Vest are also equipped with a heating system that can be adjusted to three different temperatures with the touch of a switch. With the new concept of generating heat rather than protecting against cold, ceramic infrared heaters are built into the neck and center of the back of the inner vest. While the down has a reputation for its compact silhouette, it is capable of providing protection from the cold in a way that is hard to imagine from the outside.

Mizusawa Down’s sleeve design uses a special pattern seen in sportswear, making it easy to move your arms!
The fact that the functional aspect is so well-developed is impressive to the point of sighing, but in addition to its construction, the pattern design is also superb, so please check it out. The most noteworthy point is the sleeve design. By adopting a design used in sportswear exclusively for athletes, which has no sleeve seams in the underarm area, the range of motion of the arms has been expanded to an outstanding degree. The design of the sleeves is surprising because it eliminates the problem of catching when the arms are lifted, which is often the case with ordinary set-in sleeves.
