JOJO x FilMelange, a new type of sandal that focuses on materials, goes on sale April 21!

FilMelange, which produces high-quality cut and sewn clothing, has announced a collaboration sandal with “JOJO” proposed by Kyoto’s long-established “Naito” brand. To celebrate the launch, a two-day pop-up event will be held from April 21!

Naito” is a long-established footwear maker in Gion, Kyoto that has been in business since the Meiji Era (1868-1912). JOJO” is a brand-new pair of flip-flops created by a company that has been in business for over 100 years. This new pair, made in collaboration with Filmerange, uses “New Linda Lining” for the nose. New Linda cotton, which is also used for the classic pocket T “SUNNY,” is Filmerange’s signature material, made from Egyptian super-long-staple GIZA cotton, which is characterized by its beautiful luster and silky, smooth texture with little fluff. The material is very beautiful, but by daring to leave a degree of unevenness that is “just barely not too beautiful,” it is a material that is full of FilMelange’s unique characteristics. In addition, “Ultrasuede,” which is praised for being eco-friendly and environmentally friendly, is used to create a new look with a somewhat urban feel.

The cotton filling is made of Aspero cotton from Peru, which has excellent elasticity and moisture absorption properties. Two colors are available: melange and black. The black front jamb has a special order turquoise color from Phil Melange, making it a special pair that you won’t find anywhere else. The shoe box also features a special orange logo as proof of the special order.

Pop-up store to celebrate the launch of JOJO x FilMelange

A launch event will be held at the ” HOUSE FilMelange ” Jingumae store. On April 21 (Sat.), the first day of the event, a fitting lecture will be given by a craftsman from “Naito,” a long-established footwear maker in Gion, Kyoto. Special products that combine parts used in the regular lineup with original Philmerange products will also be available for purchase. In addition, special two-way socks designed to match the JOJO x FilMelange sandals will also be available.
