The see-through back of the watch allows the wearer to watch the high 5 Hz ( 36,000 vibrations per hour ) of the El Primero 3600 caliber that led to this feat. The star-shaped open rotor features a bidirectional winding mechanism and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.

One of the features of the “Defy Skyline” is the quick strap change mechanism built into the case. This allows the wearer to easily change the strap without the use of tools. At the push of a button, the three-strand steel bracelet can be replaced with a rubber strap with an attached steel folding buckle with a starry sky on it.
