Volt by Vans Launches First Collaboration Shoes with Palm Angels

Vans’ high-end line Vault by Vans announces its first collaboration with popular skater brand Palm Angels. Three models of shoes paying homage to skate culture will go on sale on October 1 (Sat). The shoes are now on sale at Palm Angels ‘ official website and Palm Angels stores worldwide.

The first collaboration model between Volt by Vans and Palm Angels features an old-school vintage-inspired design

Palm Angels is the brainchild of photographer and founder Francesco Ragazzi. The collaborative collection with Volt by Vans expresses a design approach rooted in skate culture that celebrates freedom and individuality without being bound by stereotypes. Re-imagined in the Palm Angels code, the “Sk8-Hi VLT LX” features a red colorway, the “Old Skool LX” is gray, and the “Sk8-Mid VLT LX” has a black upper. They feature the Palm Angels logo on the side, which replicates Vans’ iconic side stripe.

Creative Director Ragazzi explains, “‘Palm Angels’ began as a photo book, and Vans was present in the photos. I took a photo of a skater in Venice Beach wearing vintage Vans Sk8-Hi’s like you’ve never seen before, and it’s been a dream of mine to collaborate with Vans ever since. Now it has finally become a reality. With this collection, I wanted to recreate those very same photos. The result is a shoe that has a vintage feel, but with a modern touch,” he says.
