AMIRI announces its second sneaker collaboration with Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO! A new blue color is now available!

AMIRI has released a new sneaker collaboration with Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO. This second edition continues the tradition of the first model with a monochrome worldview as the base, maintaining the bold construction, refined materials, and craftsmanship of the first model, and incorporating the spirit and aesthetics of DIY. This time, in addition to the black introduced in the first phase, a new blue color is now available. It is now available in limited quantities.

Inheriting the heritage of both maisons, the collaborative sneaker’s design is based on the silhouettes of Amiri’s classic “Skel Top-Low” and Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s classic “PETERSON. The canvas body features Amiri’s iconic nappa leather Bones patch. It is fused with an original sole molded by hand using Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s iconic clay. The tongue and heel are designed with woven labels embroidered with both Maison’s logos. The two brands’ precise design process and distinct identities are impressed upon each other.

A world set in a mix of LA and Tokyo atmospheresCampaign Inspired by Takeshi Kitano's Movie Features Rapper Jin Dogg!

The campaign for the collaborative sneaker features rapper Jin Dogg. Continuing the story of the first collaboration, the campaign is inspired by the 2000 Japan-U.S. co-production film ‘ Brother,’ directed by Takeshi Kitano, and blends the cultural worldviews of the two maisons. Through moody still and moving images, the campaign shows a group of counterculture figures moving through a stage where the boundaries between Los Angeles and Tokyo have blurred. The performers in the campaign, led by Gin Dog, wear tailoring by Amiri and are set on their feet with the collaborative sneakers. The campaign is an expression of how style symbolizes identity and community.
