Uniqlo Paris R&D Center's  Christophe Lemaire's new line " Uniqlo U " to be launched on Friday, September 30, 2016!

Uniqlo U,” the new line from UNIQLO Paris R&D Center with Christophe Lemaire as Artistic Director, will be fully launched on Friday, September 30, 2016. In Japan, Europe, and Canada, the line was launched ahead of the rest of the world on Friday, September 30. In the rest of the world, it will go on sale one week later, on Friday, October 7.

First collection directed by Mr. Lemaire as part of UNIQLO

Mr. Lemaire, following his past achievements as artistic director of world-class brands and maisons such as Lacoste and Hermès, has collaborated with UNIQLO for two seasons from 2015AW to 2016SS with his own brand “Lemaire” and UNIQLO “UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE”, a collaboration between his own brand “Lemaire” and “UNIQLO” for two seasons from 2015AW to 2016SS, which has received a great response and sales results all over the world.

The success of “UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE” led him to go beyond the framework of collaboration and become a member of UNIQLO from this season. As artistic director, he will lead the R&D center in Paris to launch the new line “Uniqlo U,” and expectations are undeniably high as this is the first installment.

LifeWear’s new proposal with new ideas in clothing making

Uniqlo U” is a new line that combines UNIQLO’s LifeWear concept of always being there for the wearer, making daily life more comfortable and enriched, with the design essence of the Paris R&D Center led by Mr. Lemaire. Aiming to create clothes that transcend trends that change over time and ideally express one’s figure, the line reflects new ideas in design, fabric selection, and sewing.

The Fall-Winter 2016 collection will feature 52 women’s and 35 men’s items, including knitwear, outerwear, dresses, and jackets.
