Swatch has collaborated with the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, which boasts one of the world’s most extensive collections of modern and contemporary art. The ” Swatch x Centre Georges Pompidou ” collection, which features six watches revived from works by Mondrian, Kandinsky, and other masters of modern art, is on sale from March 10 (Thursday).

Swatch, which continues to produce iconic watches, has been launching the ” Museum Journey ” series since 2018. In the past, Swatch has collaborated with the National Museum of Fine Arts Amsterdam, the Louvre Museum in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, incorporating masterpieces from around the world into its watches. This year’s collaboration focuses on six masterpieces from the collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou, one of Paris’ most famous tourist attractions. Works by Frida Kahlo, Amedeo Modigliani, Robert Delaunay, Wassily Kandinsky, and Piet Mondrian have been revived as wearable art on watches.

1) “PORTRAIT OF DÉDIE, BY AMEDEO MODIGLIANI

The metallic-finished silver dial of this watch features a fascinating portrait of Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani. The solid pink detailing used on the case, buckle, and loop is also striking. The silicon strap is decorated with the artist’s signature on the 12 o’clock side, a first for Swatch.

(2) “CAROUSEL, BY ROBERT DELAUNAY

This watch incorporates the work “Manège de Cochons” by Robert Delaunay, one of the pioneers of abstract painting, featuring dynamic colors and a dial with special cut-outs inspired by Paris, the center of artists’ lives in the 1920s.

Fascinated by the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris, Robert Delaunay painted “The Eiffel Tower” from a unique angle.
