G-Shock has released a collaboration model with the “Royal Navy,” which boasts the longest history in the Royal Navy, for the “Frogman,” a masterpiece from the MASTER OF G series that continues to pursue toughness. The base model is the analog model “GWF-A1000,” which features the asymmetrical face design that has been an icon of the Frogman series since its birth in 1993 and uses large luminescent hour and minute hands. The design is based on the motif of HMS Queen Elizabeth, one of the largest aircraft carriers in the history of the Royal Navy, and the light gray case and band are accented with the ROYAL NAVY colors of red, white, and navy, which are reminiscent of the ship’s hull. The case and band are light gray in color, inspired by the ship’s hull.
The metal ring is engraved with the “ROYAL NAVY” logo, and the back of the watch is engraved with the character of a frog holding an anchor. The band is made of fluoro-elastomer, a stain-resistant and hydrolysis-resistant material that can withstand harsh environments. In terms of materials and construction, the carbon monocoque case and caseback are integrated to achieve both lightweight and ISO-standard 200m water resistance.
Another feature of this watch is that it can be linked to the Bluetooth® system, which eliminates the need for operations on the watch side and, together with the three dual-coil motors used for the hour, minute, and dual time hands, enables high-speed movement for more stress-free operation.
