Seiko Prospex has released a limited edition model to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the 1986 Quartz Divers, Seiko’s first 1,000m saturation diving diver’s watch created in 1986. Limited to 1,200 pieces worldwide, the watch will go on sale on July 9, 2021 (Friday). The price is 297,000 yen (including tax).

Seiko Prospex has introduced a limited edition model to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1986 Quartz Divers, Seiko’s first 1000m saturation diving diver’s watch, which was created in 1986. The watch has been further perfected as a professional tool, and is ideal for divers who continue to challenge the uncharted world of the deep sea.
The “1986 Quartz Divers,” on which the limited edition model is based, was the world’s first model to use ceramics for the outer case protector. At the time, the combination of the lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant titanium case and one-piece construction without a back cover was highly trusted.
