The most notable item in this collection, “Superstar 80s x SNS,” is designed based on the adidas Originals classic Superstar model. The upper design is unique in that the collection’s signature velcro patchwork of two types of flowers can be attached or detached depending on one’s mood. This unique specification pays homage to a previous adidas Originals model featuring Taro Okamoto, which was released under the adiColor Project by Kuraishi and adidas. The adi-color project released a model more than 10 years ago that featured a Velcro upper and allowed users to freely attach patches of Taro Okamoto’s artwork. This model is a must-see for adidas fans, and by setting the graphics used throughout the collection on the upper, a total coordination including outerwear and tops can be established.
